The Alliance Story
We Didn't Read About Failing Firehouses. We Slept in One.

Built from the Bunk Room
Most nonprofits are founded by people who saw a problem from the outside. We didn't have that luxury. Firehouse Infrastructure Alliance was founded by three active-duty firefighters who didn't need a report to understand what a failing firehouse looks like. We live in them every single day.
Outside the Budget Cycle
Municipal budgets prioritize staffing and trucks, while repairs are pushed to 'next year' indefinitely. We've lived these budget conversations. That is why we built a way to fund modernizations without waiting for a capital improvement cycle that may not come for another decade.
The Reality Nobody Sees
The public image is brass poles and gleaming trucks. The reality is buildings running decades past their lifespan. Over 70% of U.S. fire stations are 30+ years old. Behind the statistics are crews in crumbling facilities that would be shut down if they were any other public building.
Standing Behind the Helpers
Every minute lost to a broken bay door is a minute borrowed from your community's safety. Help us fix what we live with every shift. Donate to fund a repair, partner as a sponsor, or nominate a station. You are standing behind the people who show up for everyone else.
Leadership

Stephen Baker
President
Firehouse Infrastructure Alliance is led by active-duty firefighters and a trusted financial steward who understand exactly what safe, modern stations require. We're not a large staff, and we're not trying to be. Three of the four people leading this organization are firefighters who happen to also run a nonprofit, which means every dollar donated is being directed by people who will personally understand the difference it makes.
